Here are the rules for accumulating points in this series…

1)

For points series paddlers in any C-2 class, BOTH people in the boat must be NYMCRA members.

2)

Racers need to do 5 of the 10 points races to qualify for non-raffle points awards.

3)

Same points tally configuration as last year; 1st=100, 2nd=90, 3rd=85, 4th=80, etc.

4)

Your final point total is the sum of your top 5 races.

5)

Paddlers race in their age class. Youngest paddler determines race class in tandem events.

6)

Your age group for the year is determined by your age on January 1st.

7)

Points Race participants will earn a raffle ticket for each race they enter and finish. A raffle of "big ticket" items will be held at the NYMCRA banquet, you must be present to win.

1)

Both people in the boat must be NYMCRA members.

2)

C2 Pro Points are awarded to the paddlers in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place 3x27 canoe (Pro Boat).

3)

Points are assigned: 1st = 100, 2nd = 90, 3rd = 85, 4th = 80, etc

4)

At the end of the series the point tally will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

5)

Cash prize awards are 1^st = $250, 2^nd = $100, 3^rd = $50

6)

C-2 Pro Open race participants earn a raffle ticket for each race that they complete.

7)

At the annual NYMCRA banquet, a raffle ticket will be drawn for an additional prize of $100.

8)

Be advised – you must be present at the banquet in order to receive either the merit prize money or the raffle prize.
