Paddlers meet at the Saranac Inn state boat launch; on Upper Saranac Lake at 6 p.m. Informal clinics can be arranged on everything from paddling stroke to wake riding. Please call ahead for the clinic schedule. Sessions are $10 each. AWA members are free. Plan to join us after the paddling at MAC’S Canoe Livery for burgers, refreshments and lots of talk about our favorite subject. AWA members can also take advantage of free demos on any boat in stock and available at MAC’S for the Sundowner Time Trials. |

This is a down river paddle with 1 (dam) mandatory and 2 (rapid) optional portages. If there are 3 entrants there will also be a Voyageur Race from Rossi to Heuvelton on the Indian River, Black Lake and Oswegatchie Rivers, 25+ miles with no portages and the prevailing wind on the lake is from west to east. start time is projected for 0800 for that race so both races will be finishing at the Heuvelton Boat Launch at the same time. |

The Adirondack Canoe Classic follows the original highways of the Adirondacks - the waterways connecting Old Forge, Raquette Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, Long Lake, Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake. There is a 250 boat registration limit. The 90 is hosted by the Adirondack Watershed Alliance and The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. |
