Adirondack Canoe Classic 90 miles Old Forge to Saranac Lake. Mix of lake and river flat water paddling with several carries. Included with entry fee: T-shirt, snack and water pit stops during the race, mileage pins, awards, camping, boat shuttle, post race meal and smiling volunteers. Event is limited to 250 canoes. Entry deadline is July 25, 2008. Entry fee is $150 per paddler ($125 for AWA members.) Meal packages available. |

14th Annual Rochester River Challenge A Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project Event presented by Cape Ability Outrigger Ohana, Inc., a chapter of Disabled Sports USA. 400 meter sprint races on Genesee River in Rochester, NY Double hulled outrigger canoes provided as well as a steersperson. Fee: $175 for a seven-person team, or $150 for early entry fee for a seven-person team. T- shirt included with entry fee. All proceeds benefit CAOO to provide programs and services to paddlers with disabilities. Pre-registration necessary; all teams are assigned a race time; total time commitment is 1.5 hours. Race classes for men, women, open, masters and youth teams. |
