Are you or your family member in the Albany-Troy-Schenectady area? Are you interested in helping some people get started in single blade paddle sports? Are you available to share your canoeing experience with a group of motivated & determined people?
I am working with a group of women who are starting a Dragon Boat team in the Albany-Troy-Schenectady area. The team members are all breast cancer survivors. What's a Dragon Boat? If you're familiar with a war canoe then you'll recognize a Dragon Boat as a war-canoe-on-steroids! They are propelled with single blade paddles by a team of 20 paddlers. The design has a south pacific origin which has grown into a worldwide popularity that includes the northeastern US.
